Cheesesteak Pizza Cheesesteak Pizza
Cheese Steak transformed into pizza. Made simple with the use of a pizza crust mix or a refrigerated pizza dough. Made with steak, onions, peppers and spicy marinara ... with the option of adding cheez whiz for the true Philly.
SERVES: 6
PREP TIME: 15 Minutes
COOK TIME: 10 Minutes
Ingredients

1 Dry Pizza Crust Mix or Refrigerated Pizza Crust dough
1 New York Strip Steak, thinly sliced
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 large Onion, sliced
1 large Green Pepper, sliced
1 cup Marinara Sauce (about 2 cups for refrigerated dough)
1/4 pound Provolone Cheese cut into 1/2 inch strips

Directions
Step 1  Step 1:
If using Refrigerated Pizza Dough:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Unroll pizza crust onto greased pizza pan and press to desired thickness. Bake 8 minutes.
If using Pizza Dough Mix:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees and follow instructions on package to prepare dough. Bake five minutes.

Step 2  Step 2:
While pizza crust is baking, lightly season steak strips with salt and pepper. Saute onion and pepper in medium saute pan with 1 Tbsp. olive oil until the onions begin to brown and turn translucent. Add the steak strips and cook for 1-2 minutes. The steak need not be done, as it will have additional time in the oven.

Step 3  Step 3:
When pizza crust is done, spread marinara sauce over crust. Then evenly distribute steak, pepper and onion onto the crust and place provolone cheese strips on top.

Step 4  Step 4:
Put pizza back in oven for 6-10 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and beginning to brown. Top with cheez whiz if you desire. Cut and serve.
